It is simply delicious plus provides a great energized feeling without the negative effects I get from drinking coffee.AND it's good for you! In the winter months I prepare this maté hot, in a french press. I add just a bit of cold water plus mix it around to wet the leaves before adding hot water (never boiling). Let steep approximately five minutes while stirring a bit. Then I add some honey to sweeten it (some like the plain bitterness of the beverage, I like it a little sweet). Press, pour plus enjoy. In the summer months I prepare the maté the same way, except I add a touch of vanilla extract plus 50% more honey, then pour from the press into a large ball jar. pop it in the fridge over night, wake up on a hot day plus hit it with some ice cubes BAM you got yourself a cold, energizing, plus delicious drink. Love the difference because the flavor is huge!! I dont drink coffee, but my mom in law does plus trying to switch to tea was a big deal for her. This tea made it a much easier transition.
